Community Service Chaplaincy - Basic Training Level 1
Ek is nou ‘n amptelike CSC. “preach the gospel; sometimes use words" Gee die honger mense kos, gee hulle hoop, ens.
Church Beyond the gates
Do Church Be Church
Pastor Church Body Pastor Community
Ministry in the Church Ministry in the Community
Ministry to Christians Ministry to unbelievers
Save the lost in Church Care and service, not matter what
Die gesinsgeweld word bespreek.
1. Status quo (normal)
2. Tension Building
3. Explosive outburst
4. Honeymoon
Woman are stupid
Men are liars
Daar is nie ‘n ander oplossing nie. Dit raak nooit beter, tensy dit werklik ‘n bekeringsaak is nie.
4 Axims:
What you do not know about people is more important than what you already know.
Care must precede evangelism
Danger mindfield: hurt or get hurt
The greater the need to survive any situation the lower our ethical behaviour becomes.
Perception and reality - any connection between the two? Perception is reality, but not necessarily the truth. Your body will respond to perception. Fear is a normal reaction of a person to something he perceives is a threat.
Definition of stress: being out of control in any given situation. If you are in control you will not stress. Why must we go the extra mile, or turn the other cheek? Because when we choose to do that, we are in control.
People bring into their present problems things from their past. As a chaplain you will need to understand this and be able to help them see it as well.
